The Best Fun You Can Have In Vegas That You Can Talk About

My first trip to Las Vegas was filled with doubt and loathing. "It's Sin City!" I thought and I thought I would just "endure" it. I ate some great food and saw some pretty incredible entertainment. I actually had a good time. My wife and I went back again and again and again, each time experiencing yet another unbelievable show and chowing down on great food. When I didn't think it could get any better, I went to a conference and invited a good friend to meet me when the conference was over. I had already decided to rent an exotic car but had NO IDEA how much fun it would be. That was 3 years ago and I'm still in love with my first Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. So if you ever decide to rent this fantasy on wheels, consider the following:

1. Shop around

Vegas probably has more demand for exotic rental cars since it is the Urban Playground of America. Lots of people who have lots of money to lose (just look at the Bellagio) come to Las Vegas every year for the thrill. Where supply and demand are at work, your dollar goes further. Check the deals offered by the competing companies. You will likely be surprised at the differences in price for the same vehicle. Don't be afraid to remind them of their competition and ask for some concession like a discount on the "extra miles" or an extension of time.

2. The devil is in the details...read your contract!

Because these cars are expensive to repair, maintenance costs need to be kept at bay. One method of minimizing the wear and tear is to limit the number of miles you drive. Some will limit you to 50 miles per day and then charge you from $1 to $2,50 for EACH MILE past 50 miles. Some will have a more generous 100 mile limit but may charge you a higher daily fee for that privilege. You should plan your day accordingly and at least have a rough idea on where you plan to show off....I mean drive your new toy-for-a-day. If you drive aimlessly then you will pay dearly!

3.Insurance...what insurance?

I called my insurance company to verify that they would cover me like they do for any other car I drive and they had to ask 2 or 3 times exactly what car this was because they couldn't believe it! I finally got them to say they would cover me but you need to verify this long before you sign on the dotted line. Your insurance will cover you in the event of an accident but there are limits to their coverage. Ask your carrier what happens financially if you cause $175,000 damage but do not cause enough damage to "total" the vehicle. The last thing you need hanging over your head after a fun ride is to find out that your policy limits still put you out of pocket $20,000. The other thing too is that if you are caught doing something you shouldn't be doing with the car (taking it on the Las Vegas Race Track) then any problems you encounter are yours to keep as no insurance carrier will cover that!

So now that you're ready to rip and roll, shop around, check the details and call your insurance carrier and...yes, that's right....enjoy the ride of your life!! Check out the video on this new Exotic Car Rental In Las Vegas Site.
